Leonx's newest model, a 124 lb entry at the same $899 sale price and 14/12-inch wheels as the X1 AMP 2.0, with a smaller battery and a lower claimed 40 mph.

Fit
Who it fits, and what it's for
Fit is about use and body, not quality. A bike that fits can still be too much machine, so read the experience note before the spec table.
It's for
Fit a shorter teen on a 4 kW e-moto under $900 at the current sale price.
Carry up to 350 lb of rider and cargo on one of the two lightest bikes we have documented.
Charge indoors: the 60V 22.5Ah battery is removable, and Leonx sells replacements separately.
Terrain: Backyard and private land, OHV trails, Forest roads.
Three speed modes with the mode selector on the handlebar, but Leonx doesn't publish the mph each mode caps at. The claimed 40 mph top mode is experienced-rider territory even on a 124 lb bike.
Not for
Street use as delivered. Leonx's specification table lists the terrain as off-road, and no page claims this model can be registered.
Riders over 6 feet. Leonx's own height guide ends at 6'0"; the full-size bikes sit taller.
Riders or cargo over the 350 lb weight capacity.
Experience: Beginner to Experienced.

What we still don't know.
Seat height, wheelbase, ground clearance, and charge time: Leonx publishes none of them.
We have not measured real range, top speed, or weight distribution.
We have not set a rider-height band. Leonx's guide is 4'2" to 6'0"; sit on one before buying.

All figures are manufacturer claims from the Leonx product page, checked November 7, 2026. We have not seen or ridden this bike. The page's own badge and comparison table agree on 4,000 W and 40 mph; the X1 AMP 2.0 page's comparison table instead lists 43 mph for the X5, and we carry the X5 page's own figure. Seat height, wheelbase, ground clearance, and charge time are not published.

The manufacturer says
Leonx's vehicle-specification table lists the terrain as off-road and the intended use as recreation; no page claims this model can be registered.
What happened in Utah
We have not tried to register this bike. Utah has issued an off-road title and registration to another maker's off-road-only e-moto (our X-Pro Drax Apex), which shows the state does not take that wording at face value; it is evidence about the state's practice, not proof for this bike. Whether a Leonx arrives with a manufacturer's certificate of origin is unknown, and that paperwork changes how a title starts.
The street-legal path
Unverified. We have not examined this bike or tried to register one. Leonx publishes no certificate-of-origin or VIN statement, and the built-in headlight and rear turn signals it lists are equipment, not paperwork.
Leonx's X5 page claims 150,000+ customers across the company's longer B2B history; its other pages claim 1,000+. Both are Leonx numbers we have not verified.
Warranty is 1 year, returns run on a 7-day trial, and shipping is free sitewide, per Leonx.
A user manual and an assembly video are published on the product page.
OHV registration is not a street plate. For the difference, the forms, and the equipment a street-legal bike needs, start with Register your bike. For city rules, use Where you can ride.
