Fit
Who it fits, and what it's for
Fit is about use and body, not quality. A bike that fits can still be too much machine, so read the experience note before the spec table.
It's for
Climb steep forest roads with a load: 160 N·m from the Bafang Ultra mid-drive and an 11-speed SRAM NX drivetrain.
Carry a second 20 Ah battery on the quick-release rack for 40 Ah total.
Pack out game or gear on a step-through frame that is easier to mount when loaded.
Terrain: Forest roads, Hill climbs, Backyard and private land.
A heavy bike with a throttle and a lot of torque. In Class 1 mode it rides like any pedal-assist bike; a new rider should start there.
Not for
Anyone who needs to know it is a legal e-bike in Utah. Read the legal section first.
Riders under 16 in Class 3 mode. Utah bars them from Class 3 e-bikes today.
Lifting onto a car rack: 90 lb with the battery.
Experience: Beginner to Experienced.

What we still don't know.
Seat height and top speed: Bakcou publishes neither.
What the "unlimited" ODP setting does, and whether the bike can be locked out of it.
We have not set a rider-height band. The frame is 18 inches; sit on one at a dealer.

All figures are manufacturer claims from the Bakcou product page, checked November 7, 2026. We have not seen or ridden this bike. Bakcou lists the Bafang Ultra M620 motor as "750w/1000w" without saying which number is rated and which is peak, so we leave both unknown. Weight is with the battery (77 lb without). Wheels are 26 inches, or 24 inches as an option. Range is Bakcou's 50-mile estimate; its FAQ says 40 to 60 miles is typical on one battery.
Utah
Is it an e-bike in Utah?
An e-bike needs no title or registration in Utah, but only if it meets the state's definition. What the manufacturer says, what the statute says, and what happens if it doesn't qualify.

Registration if it qualifiesNone
The manufacturer says
Bakcou says its On-Demand Program (ODP) lets you configure the bike "as a Class 1, Class 2, Class 3 or unlimited e-bike via the integrated stem display. That makes it easier to comply with local regulations when riding on public land or trails."
What Utah law says
Unclear. Utah allows a programmable e-bike that meets each class in each mode (41-6a-102(67)), with a motor of no more than 750 W. But the definition excludes a bike advertised or modifiable to go past 20 mph on the throttle in any mode, or past 750 W continuous. Bakcou advertises an unlimited setting and doesn't say whether the motor is rated at 750 or 1,000 W.
If it doesn't qualify
If it doesn't qualify as an e-bike, Utah counts it as an electric motorcycle: it would need a title and OHV registration to ride public trails, like an e-moto. An e-bike set past the maker's original speed or power settings is a "high power electric device" under the same statute, with its own age and road limits.
Wherever you ride it, stay in a Class 1, 2, or 3 mode and keep the receipt that shows the factory settings.
Bakcou Connect (lock, tracking, diagnostics) is free for the first year, then $99 a year, per Bakcou.
Warranty is one year from delivery, original owner only; register within 30 days, per Bakcou.
Check the bike, not the label. Utah's limits are 750 watts, 28 mph with pedal assist, and 20 mph on the throttle alone. For how to tell, read E-bike or not. For age limits by class, see For parents.
